An Update on all Updates

At the beginning of this new year of 2017, lets have a look at all the flips that are underway.

Flip #1 - The Farmhouse

The pretty blue farmhouse we worked on this past summer and fall is complete and ready for market.
There are a few last reno tweaks I want to do, and I want to style a few more rooms.

And apparently the one barn is there's that.
Never a dull moment!

Flip #2 - The Bungalow

Construction finally started a few weeks ago.
Slowly but surely we are plugging away at the renos.
Demolition has started and the crew is working and making changes down in the crawlspace.
No pictures to give you guys yet, didn't think you wanted to see dirty dungeony pics of a creepy crawlspace.

Flip #3 - The Country House

Closing date on this property was Dec 21, 2016.  Just bought it so haven't had much time to focus on it.
No renos yet on this pretty home, but aiming to by the end of this month.
I can't wait to start working on this house.  I have some great ideas brewing.

Flip #4 - The Condo

I have done nothing yet with the condo.  I just can't seem to get my groove with this property.
So often when I am renovating and styling my homes I can get a feel for that home and it's environment,
but with this place I can't seem to pick it up.
However, I am getting a few ideas, maybe just need a bit more time.  So all hope is not lost.

What I Have Learned
In my previous flips, I have always taken my time.
I always moved in with the knowledge that down the road I was going to sell it.
An average of 1-2 years.
With these recent flips, I am learning and it has not always been easy.
I am making so many and I mean so many mistakes as I go along.
Live and learn right.  As a rule, I live by the motto....make any mistake the first time, but not the 2nd.

But I so very much love doing this.
I get up each morning and am eager to get to my construction site.  Or shop for the things we need for the next stage of the renos.
I think about my properties all the time.  And I like these thoughts.
After years of working in an office or working out of necessity, I am finally where I want to be.
I love what I do.

And So We Carry On
So there you have it, just a quick overall look at where I am with my properties.
Over Christmas I started to search MLS for vacant country lots for my future home.
That gets me super excited when I am able to start connecting my results of flipping, to my long term dream and goal.
And I love doing it to boot.....I am a natural born contractor!
A lady contractor in a sea of men.  Lowes and Home Depot are my happy place. :)
I may not always put hammer to nail, but I have a great crew and sub-contractors that do an amazing job!

Let's stay connected, follow me on

  1. You have done it! So much work and planning but so much accomplished! Great job and so much fun watching all the progress.Happy New Year!

  2. I'm amazed at your progress through the years and what you have accomplished. Congrats!
Just a thought for the condo… Have you thought about a modern simple decor? Changing the front door would be where I'd start. Cheers for 2017!
