Autumn-Inspired Tablescape

Wayfair.ca

We all know the transition from summer to autumn happens fast,
and that means it's almost time to swap those daisies on your table to mums and bring outdoor dinner parties in.

I love everything about the Fall.  My very favourite of all four seasons.
Sweaters, warm cozy blankets, that smell of a wood stove gently burning somewhere, those brilliant autumn colours, pumpkins, corn stacks, fall foliage.

Bringing this warm ambience into my home, last year I put together an Autumn tablescape.

Today I am combining a few posts I did last year on my autumn dining room decor.
Starting with the centrepiece I arranged.  The table set for Thanksgiving dinner and
and a how to DIY tutorial on making the rectangle wooden box I used for the centrepiece.

The centrepiece
Starting with the centrepiece,
I used the long wooden box that I built a few years ago.
The DIY tutorial is here.

Knowing I wanted fresh pumpkins and gourds I stopped by my local country roadside stand.

In the box, medium size white pumpkin, gourds, small size Indian corn,
fresh leaves, balls of twig, wheat, bits of burlap and some tall taper candles.

The tablescape.
An autumn inspired table setting.
As I started to place the plates around the table and the table started to come together,
I switched out a few of the orange touches and went with a more uniform colour combo.

I was looking to create a neutral and natural style.
Going with gourds, white, burlap, wheat, miniature corn husks.

The wooden box centrepiece not only looked beautiful, but was perfect height for conversation across the table.

Dishes, an off white simple pattern, along with a wooden charger.

The water goblets/wine glasses with the coloured leaves.
Always look forward to bringing them out for the season.

Incorporating the traditional colours of the season in my decor,
I added a bit of orange to the dining room buffet.
And also throughout the house.

The sweet white turkey canister I bought in Texas, while on the road trip I took with daughter Rachel a few years back.

The wooden box.
As mentioned, an easy how to DIY tutorial for the centrepiece wooden box.
Stained in a dark finish.
You can find it here.

Get the look......
I just love this elegant set from Wayfair.
A perfect autumn country style place setting.

I maybe super busy with renovations to both my flip properties, but I took the time today to scroll through last years tablescape.
It was so pretty, I just loved it, still do.

For this post, I worked alongside Wayfair Canada.  I'm super excited to be partnering with them.
I am in love with everything they have, and equally love they ship to Canada for free.
Yes my fellow Canadians, you spend so much and they send it to your door...free shipping!
That's my kind of online shopping.  Right from my laptop to my door.....thank you very much.

So as the weather gets cooler, shorts are replaced with jeans, flip flops are traded in for loafers and the AC in the car is turned over to heat.....welcome Fall!
