On The Road Again

It has been a busy winter, so I am taking a little break.
A road trip......Southern style.

Taken on our 2013 CA road trip.

I will be meeting up with my daughter for the trip - she is traveling this year.
She is flying into Orlando, FL from Nicaragua.
I will be leaving on Tuesday, and meeting up with her Friday at the airport.

Then from there we hit the road.
No real plans set in stone....that's what a road trip is all about right!

On the first leg of our journey, we will be hugging the Gulf of Mexico.
Travelling through the States of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana.
We are thinking of taking a Katrina and a plantation tour while in Louisiana.
Then we head to Texas.
Our plan is to take a few days off the road and rent a beachfront condo.
This will be my first time in Texas, so want to take my time in this State.
Only wish it was rodeo or cattle drive season,
but unfortunately those are in the spring and summer months.

We are back on the road again, heading southwest.
Stretching through New Mexico and Arizona.
Our final destination is California.  We will be staying at a seaside bed and breakfast.
Have a few to choose from, but leaning toward the Santa Barbara area.
In March daughter leaves for Australia, where she will catch her flight from LAX.
Then this exhausted road warrior is homeward bound.
I will travel the northern States back to Ontario.
Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Illinois, Michigan...then home.

I will try to post daily on Facebook and Twitter.

  1. If you need a traveling partner on the way home, I would love to drive across country with you and then I could fly home. I am in the Sacramento, California area. <3 RobinLynn

  2. Diane, that is quite a road trip! You are one brave lady to travel so many of those miles alone. You and your girl are going to have some wonderful times together though and see so much country. Be safe and enjoy it all. Blessings to you. Pam
