Baby, It's Freezing Outside!

The last time I blogged about my small farm in the winter,
it was white fluffy snow.  Decorative snow.  Lasted only a few days.
However this snow is here to stay.  A pristine white.  Frozen.
But the sun is out, so I grabbed my camera and captured it's beauty.

The old barn settling in for a long winter.
When I am outside in the yard, or looking after the chickens I hear the wind blowing through the barn.
It rattles, creaks and bangs.  It always makes me pause and look.

The chickens staying cozy in their little hen house.

 It's shining so your nose won't freeze.
It is a marshmallow world indeed.

My road....who wants to go for a nice country drive?
Wait for the snow plows to go by a few time, then we are good to go.

It maybe cold, but it sure is pretty.

Stay warm!

  2. Your barn and house look so pretty in the snowy landscape Diane. I can imagine that old barn makes a lot of noise in the cold wind. Boards creaking and nails popping. Love the shot down the road. Have a great weekend.

  3. It does look cold, but the snowy landscape photos remind me of post cards!
    Do we ever get post cards anymore? ...a postcard, or a letter...is a lost art.
    Well, I don't have your address but I'm sending you a warm {hug}

  4. My but snow does look pretty but I am not fooled. Before we moved to the west coast we lived in frigid Manitoba, I love your place though. Such a lovely old house.
