Christmas Home Tour

My first Christmas here at the farmhouse.

I will say that the last month and a half has been a busy one for me.
Busy, eventful and at times vexing.

In this last month and a half, I had my car break-down completely, computer problems and I have had an accident.
I fell right here in the house, and I fell painfully hard.  So I have been out of commission for a few weeks.
However, I am now on the mends and Christmas is just around the corner,
so let's do a little tour of my first Christmas here at my sweet home in the country.

The family tree is in the living room.
After the move I organized all my seasonal boxes, and found some ornaments I long forgot I had.
So about half did not get on this 5ft tree.  Time for a bigger tree.  After Christmas I will have a look around.
I was wanting to get a real one this year for the family tree, but with my injury couldn't do it.
This will always be my favourite tree.  Every ornament holds dear to me.

The kids put this tree together, I was out of commission on the sofa.

This brown sofa set is a rental from Easyhome.  Wonder what my living room will look like this time next year.
After the new year I want to buckle down and focus on my decor plans and purchases.

I scattered some Santa's around the room.

Some Christmas Precious Moments figurines in the curio cabinet.

Moving into the dining room.

The nutcrackers on the top of china cabinet.

Christmas china in the cabinet.

The kitchen has a few Yuletide touches.

Even the bathroom has a bit of Christmas here and there.

I am happy to document my first Christmas here at the farmhouse as a good one.
Now that I have spent my first one here I am getting ideas on what I want to do for next year.
This house is made for Christmas.
I am one happy lady here as I adore my new home dressed for the season, a little sore maybe, but happy nevertheless.

I want to wish you and yours a very blessed and Merry Christmas.
Hugs,

  5. Merry Christmas Diane! I love visiting and seeing what you are up to with the farm house. I love the framed print of the girl in your dining room. We have the same one in our bedroom back in Canada. (I think it is called "the Storybook"? but I could be wrong)
Enjoy your first Christmas on the farm and I look forward to following you again in 2015!
