A Vintage Halloween Tablescape

These days I am documenting each first holiday in my new home.
This being my first Halloween.
I don't know how many little ghosts and goblins come out to country properties,
or really what to expect this Halloween.
But I will have some treats ready by my door for the little trick or treaters.

To celebrate this spooky season, I put together a Halloween tablescape.
A vintage one, bit of old, bit of new.
And take a little tour of my home ready for the scary October 31 night.

So much colour.  Traditional orange and black,
Added with some brown, red and a touch of brass and silver.....why not.
I mixed up old and new.  Vintage dishes and glassware, mixed in with new seasonal decor.

On the table I started with a seasonal runner I bought a few years back at Kohl's.
I added a vintage serving tray and created a little pumpkin man vignette.

Added a setting of four brown round placemats.

The vintage dishes are "Coloroll" by Denby England.
I picked these up at a thrift store when we lived in Kamloops, BC a few years back.

Vintage ruby red Luminarc wine glasses and water goblets.
I remember as a kid these glasses were offered free with a fill-up of fuel at the Esso gas stations.
Each time my Dad would fill-up and return with one, I couldn't wait to see which piece he got.
I was enchanted by their beauty.  Even way back then.

Vintage brass candelabras.

A few orange touches around the room.

Even out my front window.....touches of orange.

Ok....not orange, but I thought Miss Matilda looked cozy in all these warm autumn colours.

Halloween is actually an awesome time of year.
You can go so creative.  Have fun with it.
