Making A Move

One door closes as a new one opens.

After almost two years of looking for a little place in the country, it is finally here.
It's moving day.
This city girl, making the move to a small farm.

Mover don't get here until Wednesday, but today I moved a few
small items into the house and I while I was there, I snapped a few pics.

The living room, and to the left the dining room.
Through the door is the sun room.

The dining room.

The kitchen.

The backstairs.

And from one of the upstairs bedroom, here is the road view from the window.

And of course guess who shows up just as I was about to leave....stray adopted cat Mrs. Bingley.
When I opened my car door to put away my camera, guess who jumps in thinking she is going for a car ride!
Silly cat.  And such an affectionate little thing.

I am buying the house off the sweetest family.
They gifted me these cookies today.
The oldest children baked them, and wanted us to have them on moving day.
Bless their hearts. :)

My children come home tomorrow to help with the move.
This move is a lot simpler than I have ever done in the past.  Very low-key.
I hired movers, I feel very organized and I know the move itself will go fairly quickly.
I want to simply and quietly slip into my new place....and just get started.

  5. Can't wait to see how you transform your home into your personal space ..of coarse it helps to have a beautiful place to start. I grew up in the country and have lived "in town " most of my adult years. I dream of going back to the peacefulness that you find in the country. I hope you love it as much as I remember loving it...blessings...
