Farm Tour #6

This past weekend I took a tour of this beautiful
two story farmhouse for sale, sitting on 2 acres.
Priced reduced from $159,900 to $149,000

It was amazing.  Cozy.
The house was spotless and that is very important to me.
Don't want to worry about spiders and bugs.  I just don't do creepy bugs well.
While I realize that most farmhouses have to contend with mice in the spring and fall,
that does not bother me as much as creepy bugs you cannot control.
So this very clean house was a bonus.
Plus most of the rooms are painted white, exactly what I was wanting.  Another bonus.
Let's have a look around.  If you follow me on Facebook you have seen a few of these pics.

The cozy gallery kitchen.
I would change out the ceiling fan.
In front of the window put a pretty white table, two chairs and hang a long lace curtain.

Living room

The dining room.
My favourite room.  A very large room, so much decorating potential.

Check out the high baseboards.
The door to the left leads into the kitchen.

One of the bedrooms.
There are three.  This room was my fave, the second largest.
Not the master bedroom, but I might take this one because it was snug and comfortable.
Very cozy, overlooks the front yard.
For whatever reason, I like my bedroom to look out the front of the house.

The upstairs bath.
Very pretty, very country.

Stairs.

Heading outside, we have a sunroom.
Another favourite room.  Awesome for a warm summer evening.

The old barn.  Needs some repair to be useable.
But I love everything about it.

I dare say I would buy this property just for this old beauty!

The present owners started placing animals posts around the entire property.
A definite plus for me.  All that I would have to do is install railing.
There is a long garage on the property that I could convert to two horse stalls.
So I would be all set to bring in the horses.

Check out the vegetable garden to the left.

A chicken coop.  Another bonus.
Don't know one thing about raising and maintaining chickens, but will love to learn.

So there you have it, farm tour #6.
I am seriously considering this home to purchase.
Just going to spend a day or two weighing out the pros and cons.
Daughter Rachel wants to view it, so I might book a showing next weekend and go through again with her.

  12. I'm sorry I was late catching up on your blog! There's been so much work at the Cottage, plus feedbruner was down, so it made it difficult for me! So I missed that tour. I love the house. Have you taken any decision about it? Has your daughter visited it?
