Easter Central

On a daily basis me and the kids email each other.
We talk this and that.
A few days ago my daughter mentioned she was
excited about coming home for the Easter break.

It was at that point I took a good look around the house.
Nothing Easter at all.
No Easter pastels, no Easter bunnies, no sign of Peter Cottontail anywhere.

In truth, I had been thinking of pulling the boxes from the basement for several weeks,
but up to that point it was just all thinking.
Yesterday I went into action.

And yesterday, I redefined the meaning of an Easter hunt!
I was amazed at what I found.
I found boxes of Easter decor that I packed away before we moved out west for a year.
And that was a few years ago.

I even found a box of Easter stuff I bought while we were out west.
These boxes have been sitting in storage for a long time.

Last Fall I pulled all my stuff out of storage and moved it into my basement.
I just never know how much Easter stuff I had until now.
It's funny that over the years you buy one or two things here and there, and presto...
they turn into memories you treasure over the years

So I was a busy bunny yesterday decorating for the holiday.
My home is bursting with colour.

So welcome to Easter central, home of long lost pastel treasures.
Can't wait for the kids to come home!

Let's stay connected, follow me on

I will be linking up with these parties

  1. Oh wow I love all your Easter goodies. I haven't decorated much for Easter since my kids were little. You and so many other bloggers are making me rethink this.

  2. Oh I love it all. I don't have very much, but I love to look at all the fabulous bunnies everyone else has. So fun. I think you are definitley ready for Easter and kids. Super fun for both. I would love for you to link up to my Inspire Me party that is ongoing. http://www.astrollthrulife.net/2014/04/211th-inspire-me-tuesday.html Hope to see you there. Hugs, Marty

  3. I love the soft colours of your Easter decor. Funny, my father mentioned yesterday on the phone that they'd visit for Easter as usual... But my life is a little more extic than usual, so there's no decor yet at the Cottage... I hope I'll be as inspired as you are. Where's Cottontail?

  4. All of your Easter looks so sweet! Enjoy your family !
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  7. Looks pretty Diane...you really have a lot of Easter decor - I am looking around my own home now - I guess I better dig mine out too, especially since it's my turn to cook the Easter dinner!!
