This past weekend was a busy one and this upcoming one will be just the same.
My son was home, he knew I had a bit of furniture to pickup so he helped out.
And pickup some furniture I did.
Have a look.
Bought some dining room chairs....yes, again!
Picked up these four IKEA chairs off Kijiji (it's like Craigslist) $60.
Think I am finally happy with my dining room set.
These are a keeper.
IKEA straight back chairs with a vintage drop leaf Duncan Phyfe table.
Also off Kijiji for $25 I got this china cabinet.
Here it is when she first came home.
And after, all dressed up.
Also did a bit of thrifting.
Here was the loot from this past weekend.
The little lamp and basket now sit on top of the new china cabinet.
The only difference was I switched out the shade to a white one.
I post daily on my Facebook page.
Check out the goods I pick up throughout the week there.
Some recent finds.
Then my son and I drove to my daughter's place and spent Sunday with her.
You saw the pics of my day at the barn, watching daughter ride.
I did another YouTube video.
Still shaky. This one has music to it, getting better at this YouTube thing!
You can see Rachel at the beginning of the 1.5 minute clip.
Moving onto this upcoming weekend.
I look forward to both children being home.
Lots to keep us busy.
First on the agenda is my new white Ektorp sofa.
It gets delivered tomorrow.
Can't wait. Will show some pics when it is all setup.
I know this is not a weekend thing, but I am very excited to get it!
Big event this weekend is a farm tour.
Have a look at this spread.....dynamic right!!
It is an equestrian dream.
With an indoor arena, numerous horse stalls, paying boarders,
two other large outbuilding.
But one small house.
See where I marked the arrow, that is the two bedroom house.
And from other pictures I have of it, it is pretty small inside.
If I did buy this property, I would love the outbuildings but would have no money left over for any additions to the house.
And any additions I would be able to do would come years down the road.
So I am not really sure about this farm.
I will go to check it out, but must be practical. I want to live here for a long, long time.
I think I was looking for a smaller hobby farm, large enough for just myself, my small family
and a few horses.
Will take pics and give you guys the tour.
