Have A Great Weekend

Getting ready for the weekend.
Kids should be starting to roll in very soon.
We have a pretty busy next few days planned.

My IKEA Ektorp sofa arrived yesterday.
Delivery guy was a bit odd.
He asked me if I would go out to his truck and help him physically carry the box in.  Say what??
I thought at first he was joking around - but he was not.
I then asked him if he had a dolly in his truck, he did.  I suggested he use that. Very odd.
There was a reason I paid $153 for delivery.  These days, I am not into carrying super heavy stuff.
Again, little odd.

Anyway, will get my son to help me assemble it this weekend.

In the meantime I have been shopping around at some stores for decorative pillows.
Also have been scouring Etsy for some pretty pillow covers.
Can anyone recommend an Etsy show that has beautiful pillow covers, affordable prices?

Did a little design plan on my Polyvore blog.
Kinda like the neutral pillows, but also like the black and white.

Tomorrow have an appointment to view a large equestrian farm.
I'm at a point right now where I am questioning even going.
If I was in my 30's I would very much take on something this large.
However these days, my days of owning a fast paced business is long over.
I am thinking that managing a horse boarding facility that large would just about do me in!
My plan was always to have a small little farmette.
So, we will see how that appointment goes.

That pretty much wraps it up.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.
Will report back how things went and of course,
my vintage and thrifting finds from this week.

  1. How exciting on your sofa! That farm looks huge! I think I would say something to the delivery company that delivered it; that's weird!

  2. I still love your tablescape. I definitely think the delivery boy sounds a little strange? That is so weird!

  3. I hope you'll let us know how easy or not the sofa was to assemble. And go and visit the house, even if you know it's not the one for you... You can always get ideas from viewings!
