Blogger Spotlight - butterfly & bungalow

For the last few months I have been following
the renovations of a back porch over at
butterfly & bungalow
I wanted to share it with you today.
They took out some old rotting walls, constructed some new,
and turned it into a beautiful shabby sleeping porch.

Have a look.

This is what we started with.
Four broken windows, a door and rotted wall boards.
This was removed immediately and brand new walls went up.
Details of construction are here
Even a list of the tools they used...awesome tip.

There's just something about following constructions of houses or additions.
I have done a bit of drywalling myself, but would love to someday put together a room such as this.
I think this is what attracted me to this progress, Sue and her hubby make it look so easy!
Hmmm....they may have to spend a summer up here with me in Canada.....hmmmm...

Back of the house.

Now we are starting to see some beauty!
Walls and floor painted.

Okay, now that the hard part is over,
let's get started with the fun......decorating the room to make it a cozy family gathering space.

Here is the after....

So lovely and elegant.

Love the petite chandeliers and the painted ceiling.

The other side of the room.
Laundry area and coffee centre.

The whole house is just so pretty,
through the dining room french doors you can see the brand new back sleeping porch.

Thank you my friend for letting us have a tour!
