Blogger Home Tour - The Long Awaited Home

Welcome to the Blogger Home Tour series.
Featuring some of the finest homes on tour in Blogland.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

The first time I came upon Gloria's blog, The Long Awaited Home I was immediately drawn to her beautiful home.
And the long and heartwarming journey it took her to get there.

I can relate to the frustrations of longing for a place to call your own.
The security of a building - a piece of brick to call home.

I went along with her as she lived and moved from a rented apartment,
to buying and moving into her dream home.

And a dream home it is.

A very warm welcomes greets you as you step into the country style house.

A wall collage of family photos.
I might just have to copy this idea.

Vintage treasures scattered around the house, a perfect blend of old and new.

Let's move on into the livingroom.

Check out the original, farmhouse style flooring.
And every once and awhile, you see some exposed wood beams....very cool!

Moving into the dining room.

Strolling into the heart of the house.
The kitchen speaks comfort, casual, elegance and country.

Every kitchen should have a coffee station.

Off the kitchen, down this hall leads to the mud room.

My favourite is the family room.
A perfect place for 40 winks!

If the wood burning fire stove was in this room, I would hibernate in here until spring.

Daughter has her own quarters upstairs.
Groovy digs for a young woman.

And son has a loft apartment over the garage.....just as groovy!

The biggest treat with this home is it all decked out for the holidays.
This place was made for Christmas!

Take the amazing Christmas tour.

I may have to spend the holidays here this year.....no worries Gloria, lucky for you, I make excellent eggnog!  :)

And being the good blogger that she is, she gives us recipes for good eats, detailed DIY tutorials, good buys and keeps us up-to-date with changes around the house.

A lot of love has gone into this home, a 1852 former schoolhouse.
An amazing home, an inspirational blog and a super friendly lady.
