Apple Crisp Recipe

Last night for dessert I baked an apple crisp.
So easy to make, preparation time is maybe 20 minutes.
And while it bakes, the whole house smells heavenly....what can be better than apple and cinnamon cooking up.
Once it was finished, I had to get a quick piece before my 18 year old son got a hold of was gone in 20 minutes!!
Here is the recipe:

4-6  apples (peeled)
1/4C  water
dash of cinnamon

1/2C  flour
1/4C  white sugar
1/4C  brown sugar
1/2 tsp  cinnamon
1/2C  butter (softened)

Place peeled and cut apples into pie dish, mix and cover with the water and cinnamon.
Cover with the topping mixture.
Bake at 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes.

When finished, top with some whipped cream.

  5. I love apple crisp (or apple crumble as I knew it growing up)but most recipes here call for oatmeal which changes it significantly. When I made one on Christmas Eve that was the only recipe I could find and I wasn't happy with it at all. So your recipe is very timely for me! I'm going to write it down and add it to my new recipe box.
