A sure sign of summer is when the kiddies get out of school.

Time to start thinking summer holidays.

Vacation.
Don't you just love that word!

Some may have a seafaring holiday,
while other maybe camping or considering a cabin get-away.

Let's have a look at a rustic style vacation.
It takes rest and relaxation to a whole new level!

How about the ol' cooking over an open fire.
Well....things have changed just a wee bit since then.

You might enjoy a long soak after your day of canoeing.

Head down to the creek to wash your cloths.

I think that each and every one of us should get back to our roots.
Be one with nature.

I am thinking I could rough it out with a little rustic summer vacation.
How about you?

  1. Love these rustic photos. Especially that one with the curved wood ceiling and grand chandelier. I was thinking of doing one of those farm vacations where you stay in a tent (well, it's more than just a tent but it's not really a cabin) and then help with the farm chores. May not seem like much of a vacation to some people but I think it would be fun.

  2. I could happily be one with nature in that gorgeous laundry room! I've never minded doing laundry, and I'm a fan of great laundry rooms - sad, but true!

  9. Oh yes I could! Great photos you have shared today. I love rustic log and timberframe homes. When we went to Disney we just had to stay at Wilderness Lodge. A bit themed, but love the feel.
