Country Living

Some of us love the beaches,  while some of us love the busy Metropolitan.

And some of us love the country.

We need the wide open spaces.
We need that freedom.

We work hard.

And play even harder.

We live off the land.

Fresh eggs every morning.

We are back door kinda of folk.

Rustic style is very popular in the country.

While others prefer a more shabby look.

We start the day with a country wake up call.

But at the end of the day, we are tired.

We travel by all kinds of country methods.

Some of us walk to where we need to go.

Or we use our bicycles.

Head into town in our pick-up trucks.

But most of us go out visiting on our four legged friend.

Country living.

  1. I LOVE that first curtain picture, at first I thought you took it, but after going through the entire post I wonder if you didn't find some of these photos at other places.

    Anyway - - - I love that curtain picture.

And, I love the beach, metropolitan areas (though don't really want to LIVE in Chicago or NYC) AND the beach.

But all in all, I'm perfectly content living in my little "cottage" duplex right here in Central Wisconsin.

  2. Once or twice a year I like a jolt of the big city, but I'm happiest in the country. If I ever move to town it will be to an older neighbourhood, where the sidewalks might be cracked, but the yards are still beautiful and the trees arch over the streets. Til then, though, give me the birdsong and the frogs around my ponds.

  4. I think I'm pretty much a country girl at heart ~ maybe more of the shabby variety though! I do love the peacefulness of the county!

  5. The photo with the white chair and the cat is my perfect spot. The architectural pieces on the inside take my breath away.

  6. I love the country style too and wish we had an old farmhouse and a couple of acres. Ah well, I can dream and I can look at pretty pictures of them can't I. Happy Mother's Day Diane!

  7. My dream is to have a big country home some day. Right now we have a travel trailer on a piece of land on hubbys ancestral farm. We love to spend time there on the weekend. Thank you for stopping by Take Six, and pinning my Mother's Day tablescape. I am thrilled to be your newest follower via GFC. :)

  9. Love the country girl post. I was born in the country and lived there for awhile. My Mom lives in the country and we visit often. I'd be happy driving a pick up wearing my boots! Hope you had a great Mothers Day.

  12. I am a country girl! I've lived in the city, near the mountains, by the ocean and loved all of it, but I'm country through and through. Love this post!
