Would I Be Happier By The Sea?

That age old question,

is life better on the other side of the fence?
Is the grass greener somewhere else?

In this case, would I be happier living by the sea?

Let me ponder for a moment on that question...

...ummmm......hmmm....

.....yep....yes....double yes!

I love the sound the water makes.....

The feel of sand on my feet....

I just happen to like the colour of blue.....

I can handle a storm or two....

Heck, I could even get use to seagulls...

Winter by the sea....no problem...

Life by the sea....a sweet life.

  1. My home town is on the coast, and now we live at one of the furthest points inland! I think our next move will take us nearer to the sea. How great would it be to look out to sea from your bed.

  2. We sure miss the ocean, having moved to Alberta. I grew up in Vancouver, where we would frequent the beaches, and my grandparents had an ocean front cottage. It's just a part of me. I feel we'll be back there one day!

  3. I grew up 5 minutes from a beach and also lived in Vancouver where I could enjoy the ocean views and walking on the beach on my lunch and coffee breaks (as well as on my free time!)

I miss it sooooo much. Love, love, love the water and would move closer to the ocean in a heartbeat.

  4. There is nothing quite like the seashore and these photos are perfect examples. I love the two with the beds in front of the windows. Imagine listening to the waves crash and roll on the beach while sleeping. Love it!

  5. Beautiful images! I'd like to spend half my time at the beach and half in the mountains.

  7. I may live in a vintage farmhouse, but my soul will always belong to the sea, Diane. Your photos today pulled strongly on my heartstrings. My dream is to someday live in a little beach bungalow steps from the beach; to lay in bed at night and hear the waves washing along the shore; to hear the cry of the gulls in the morning; and to feel the sand between my toes on my daily runs on the beach. Thank you for a few moments of living my dream.... :)

  8. It is so soothing to be by the water. I especially love it when the weather is stormy.

  9. Beautiful photos. We lived on the beach for ten years until two hurricanes hit the island. Now I love to visit but I am very happy not to be a owner. Hugs, Sherry

  10. Beautiful post today! And it's a question that really is a good one! I've love my visits, and I've lived one whole summer on the beach in Florida, but I hate cleaning sand off of everything!!!
    I'll take the country!
Thanks so very much for sharing with us for Pearls and Lace Thursday this week! I enjoy your visits!

  12. Wow! That is a dream of mine, too! But I would even love to take an extended vacation to the ocean again. I been there several times. It is amazingly relaxing to hear the waves come in and feel the sand between your toes. Great pics!

  13. Oh my, I could just feel and smell the soft sea winds. These pictures are a dream! I'll have to show them to my sister - who just had a birthday! She so loves the beach - my husband said she should have been born in the summer so she could celebrate her birthday at the beach! Thank you for sharing this tranquil post with Home and Garden Thursday,
    Kathy
