The Night Before Christmas Tea

One of the sweetest Christmas stories has to be
The Night Before Christmas
by Clement Clarke Moore.

This story is probably one of my earliest memories of childhood Christmases.
I, like every kid on the planet, had sugar-plums dancing around my head
the night before Santa's arrival.

Every Christmas Eve just before bed time, Mom would read us this story.

We had this beautifully illustrated vintage book.
I loved the drawings on every single page.

Mom still has this old book and each Christmas Eve when the family gathers at her home,
she reads the story, now to all her grandkids.

She has told us that she will eventually pass it down to my youngest sister.

My older sister and I through the years are always buying vintage ornaments from our childhood.
Not always an easy task.
We buy them in antique shops or through ebay.

A few years back she was able to buy a vintage book like Mom's on ebay.
Every Christmas I look as well, but never find it whenever I have looked.
I am confident I will finally find it one day, probably when I least expect it.

Sweet Christmas memories.

Diane
