Thanksgiving Excitement

Here in Canada, Thanksgiving is this coming weekend.
And excitement is brewing in this family!

Thanksgiving dinner this year is at my house.
Which is only fair, because we were out West last year and were not home for Thanksgiving.

My brothers and sisters are phoning me to iron out food menu and details of our dinner.
The phone is ringing constantly!

Hilarious brother calls me...."Hey Di....do I have to....uhhh....errrr...bake anything??"
I tell him....nope....just bring potato chips and pretzels.

Sweet sister calls me...."Diane....do you have a minute?"
An hour and a half later I hang up....I still don't quite remember why she called me to begin with??

Darling nephew from up North calls me....."Aunt Diane.....do you mind if my girlfriend joins us and also a couple of buddies who can't get home for Thanksgiving??"
Sure my darlin', I say.....yesterday my count was 14 people...not sure how many will actually sit at my table this coming weekend....or should I say....tables??

Most wonderful Mother calls me....."Sweetheart....what can I bring for dinner?"
I say to her....nothing Mom, just bring your wonderful self....but now that you mentioned it, can you bring your delicious dressing??
Is it just me, or do Mothers always have the market on the best turkey dressing??

My family, the most precious people in my world!
Can't wait to get together this weekend.

All the above pictures were taken from a road side pumpkin patch.
We were picking up pumpkins for our home Fall display.
Wonderful day outing with daughter Rachel (above).
