A Day Thriftin'

I have been busy packing these last few days.
But I needed a break - a thriftin' break!!

Look what called my name.....

Isn't she a beauty!!
Paid $3.00

She looks kinda cute with all the other Easter/Spring decor around my home.

Sweet little egg holders with their little egg yolk scooper.
Paid $2.00
I love spots!

But the best deal......

1847 Rogers Bros "Flair" cutlery

I paid $14.99 for a set of 4 knives, 4 dinner forks, 4 salad forks, 3 dessert spoons.
I think they are so elegant.
The thrift store had more, maybe I should go back tomorrow and get them??

Look how tarnished these babies are.....

....wow....I have a lot of work ahead of me....

I read on here recently a homemade remedy for cleaning them....baking soda, etc.

I think all in all I did pretty good....anything to get me away from packing....it's so exhausting!!

Diane

  1. Great deals, Diane. Love those cute egg cups. I have always used Wrights Silver Polishing Cream, it is less abrasive than homemade recipes...plus I like polishing silver. I don't envy you having to pack up a household, then turn around and unpack everything.

  3. I tried the homemade silver cleaning thing. But always just go back to wright's cream. I have heard there are some polishing clothes that you use and throw away too.
