Daughter turning 20

My daughter Rachel, turns 20 next week.  My, my how time really does fly.  I remember taking afternoon strolls with her in her baby buggy and viola, she turns 20!!

So, to celebrate this turning point in her life, I dedicate this blog to her.

A Brilliant Student

Last year she studied Engineering at a University in Ontario, close to home.  She decided that she wanted to zero in on an Architectural aspect of Engineering.  So she made the decision to leave Ontario and head out to British Columbia to study at Thompson Rivers University.  She will spend a few years here and then complete her studies in the States and the UK.

Awards and Completions

In her first year at her new school in BC, she has already taken the program by storm and had entered a competition for a design for her Department logo.  And won!  Her logo now appears everywhere.

The model.

....see.....her logo!  so cool!  (sorry it's a little blurry, camera's fault)

She recently entered a Department contest designing an educational building, to be built for a local National Park in British Columbia.  The award is $5000!  Imagine that.....I really, really hope she wins! lol

This is her design.  I added the mug for looks.  The design on paper is hers.

These are exciting times for her.

This week I am putting together a Tablescape for her birthday dinner, will post that later.

 Happy Birthday, birthday girl!
